Prior to his work in higher education, Kevin created integrated interactive, and conventional media systems for a wide range of clients in the fields of education, telecommunication, software, information technology, health care, transportation, manufacturing, retail, and financial services. Kevin earned a B.F.A. in graphic design from Iowa State University and is a contributor to several national design journals as well as Admissions Marketing Report , Recruitment and Retention , and Case Currents . Kevin also developed and wrote IMpact , an online newsletter published by Stamats Communications addressing technology issues facing institutions of higher education. His creative work has won numerous regional and national awards.

Kevin is a frequent speaker for organizations such as NACAC, SACAC, CASE, NALP, NEPLA, AALS, and LSAC. He recently finished a national study on specialization in the J.D. curriculum and is working on a book project tentatively titled The Complete Guide to Specialized Legal Education .

Kevin is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law where he focused his studies on copyright, trademark, and business development issues. He is a member of the Colorado and Iowa Bar Associations. He is an active member of Colorado Lawyers For The Arts, donating services for non-profit arts organizations and independent artists in Colorado.
